Avril!

Hey guys! I just got back from seeing Avril Lavigne live. Over all, the concert was wicked short, but I had an amazing time!
We had floor "seats"...yes, a mosh pit.
Afterwards I was wicked tired, but then I got a free Full Throttle Energy Drink, and man, that stuff is magic. I am now fully energized and headache repellent (no matter how hard I head bang.) Whoever invented it is a genius. Seriously.
Martin Johnson, frontman+lead guitarist of Boys Like Girls waved at me after I made the sign of a heart with my hands. :D
I also held up a sign that said "Boys Like Girls=Heroes" on one side and "Keepin' it Jewish, Evan Taubenfeld!" (though I couldn't hold up Evan's side because he wasn't there. But he really is Jewish, and his parents owned a kosher catering company!!)
And Avril looked at Sarsh and I when we were jumping and screaming and fist pumping and moshing and what-not.

I also came up with a theory. The "Like" in "Boys Like Girls" is a synonym for "are similar to."
Therefore the name meaning "Boys that are similar to girls."
Yayyyyyy :D

However, Avril's act seemed...er...planned. But I loved her energy, and she is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

I am now numb and invincible from all pain because of Full Throttle!!
That stuff is my hero.

Z.O.M.G.

I just found out that Phantom Planet, The Hush Sound, and Motion City Soundtrack are all opening for Panic!!!!!
THIS IS GOING TO KICK ASS!!!

News, news!

First, I would like to apologize for not posting yesterday, St. Patty's Day!
So I would like to wish you all a happy day after St. Patrick's Day, a.k.a. St. Hangover's Day. Or just plain Hangover Day. Either one works.
Second, I have some pretty kick arse news. A *WEEK FROM TODAY*, Panic At The Disco's new album drops, and I am extremely proud to say that my awesome friend Recca/Brent bought tickets for Boris, her, and me to their 5.11.08 gig!
They better be prepared to lose their mosh pit virginity :D
Also, I am thinking about what to write on my sign. I think on one side I will write "Brendon, will you marry me!?" and on the other "I miss you, '!'"
"Nine In The Afternoon" is their first song in which they mention the title in the lyrics. Hah.

And on 3.16.08 Sean and I have been going out for 9 days, it had been then 9 days until the new album drops, and it's 9 in the afternoon!
9999999
YAYYY
And I saw Fall Out Boy on 11.9.07, and Petey Poo signed Panic.
SO many connections!!
I will try to keep you guys posted more often from now on.
LETS. KICK. ASS.

HAPPY 36th BIRTHDAY, BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG!!

YOU ARE MY IDOL AND HERO AND I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!

+ I am truly sorry that you have the same birthday as Paris Hilton. You are soooo much better than her...but it's okay, bro. She is not the most respected musician, so what does it matter anyway?

LOVE,
Rachel

Good Ol' Postin'

I really have nothing much to say right now, just wanted to leave another post. Yeah, I'm thinking about posting something about people and labeling. I KNOW what I want to say, but I can't really put it into words.
So, then I had an idea:
All you blog readers could comment on this blog(I just made it so that anyone could post, even the non-registered), and tell me what you think of labeling. Then I'll make one big happy post with all that you guys said(with names, without names, whatever you want).

Here's what I mean by labeling:
All those stupid people calling others "emo"...
Identifying someone as "Oh yeah, over there is that loser kid..."
Yes, "loser" is a label, not a description. We as humans freely "describe" people with these labels and it just ends up as name calling.

As you may or may not know, "Goth" is a label. So all you guys, even my friends, who call me "goth", you should really reconsider your ways if you care at all about this labeling problem.

However, "Punk" is not a label, it is a lifestyle. But I won't get too much into that now...

Comment away!!

I prefer BuryMeInBlack though.

The Young Wild Things Tour

Hey guys,
Recently I went to a Fall Out Boy show (The Young Wild Things Tour, with Cute Is What We Aim For, The Plain White T's, and Gym Class Heroes as opening/supporting acts). Pete Wentz, the Fall Out Boy bassist, did an incredible act of kindness that I must mention in this post.
So some guy in the mosh pit(which I went in, by the way!!!!!!) threw himself across the floor(or maybe a security guard did it or something) and hurt himself...And in between every song, Pete would say a few "Words Of Wisdom", as I would call it. So in the middle of his sentence, he stopped and saw the hurt guy and said "Oh my God, that guy is hurt!" And he told the crowd to give him space and everything, then he waited until the guy recovered until he continued what he was saying. Then he said "Yeah, guys, we really have to watch out for eachother, pick eachother up when we're down." And then he told the mosh pit to step back, and before every heavy song, he warned the crowd so they wouldn't get too crazy and get hurt.
Wow. Most musicians wouldn't do that during a show. It's really awesome how Pete stopped everything and made sure the guy was okay. I have even more respect for him now.

Anyway, you can start a blog at FriendsOrEnemies.com .....it's one of the best blogging sites ever. I just made one. A lot of bands (such as Fall Out Boy!) use it too....you can get the scoop on new photos, videos, music, etc. It's truly addicting too.

Thanks,
Rach

Wow

Hey blog readers,
Yesterday and on Thursday, I saw the movie Paperclips at school. It didn't have much to do with global warming, but it was very interesting how the kids in Tennessee showed how many people were hurt during the time of the Holocaust. They were very oblivious when they first heard about the concentration camps and the war, but by the end they knew so much and had made an amazing memorial. What the middle school in Tennessee did was they sent out letters to many, many, schools, celebritys, former presidents, organizations, and homes, asking them to donate paperclips. Their goal was to collect at least 6,000,000 paperclips, representing the Jews who had died from the Holocaust, the nazis, and Hitler. They ended up with over 24,000,000 paperclips! They got a railcar from Germany that used to transport Jews to the concentration camps during the time of the Holocaust. They put 11,000,000 paperclips in the railcar. 6,000,000 representing the Jews who were killed, and 5,000,000 for the Homosexuals, Gypsies, and other victims that were killed as well.
This movie has made me think about what we can do to stop global warming. Not make a memorial, but maybe a model of what the warming is doing to us, to motivate people. I need ideas!! Please comment or email me(PanicAtTheDsco13@aim.com)!!

An Inconvenient Truth

Hey there...a few weeks ago, at school, I saw the movie "An Inconvenient Truth"(the Global Warming movie by Al Gore). I thought there was too much about his personal life and politics(such as when he ran for president against Bush), though when it talked about Global Warming, it made a good point and was well put together. Please post a comment if you have seen(or not seen, I guess that can work also) the movie...I'd like to hear your opinion!!

What You Can do About Global Warming

Hey again. If you have not read the last post, I suggest you should read it before reading this one, or else you probably will have no idea what the flip I'm talking about.Okay, anyway, here is what you can do about global warming:
-Conserve energy by turning the lights off when you're not using them, or not turn up the heat as often and put on a sweatshirt or something instead.
-Walk/run/jog, ride your bike, skateboard, etc, to get places instead of using a car/bus/taxi/etc
-TELL PEOPLE[about this problem]!!

Email me and give me some other ideas on how to help stop this thing.
Also email me and tell me what you think of this blog. Yes, I take critizism. Please be honest.

Mmhmm

Mmhmm
Gerard is shooting venom (with his eyes) at global warming!
